Back with a bang...or at least a blog!
After a short trip to Geneva I thought I should update you with what has been going on in my life.
The last couple months have been quite tough on the court. I have been practicing lots without a whole lot of competition mainly because I have lost early in a couple tournaments and my partnership with Jeff Coetzee hasn’t really taken off as he suffered an injury to his hamstring just before we were to play our first tournament and then hurt it again when we were in the semis of Kitzbuhel and so, had to miss the next 3 events.
We are going to play in Como, Italy next week and hopefully that will be the kick-start for our partnership. I really need to get some matches under my belt and compete hard and hopefully over the next couple months I can do that and get those competitive juices back.
On a separate note, the football season is well under way although the same cannot be said for my fantasy football team. I’m reminding myself it’s a marathon not a sprint but there is definite cause for concern even at this stage of the season!
Andy has had a good build up to US Open, getting plenty of matches under his belt through winning in Toronto and reaching the quarters in Cincinnati and I am sure he will be feeling good about his chances going into the final major of the year.
It is well documented that the US is his favourite slam and no doubt he will be looking forward to getting started out there.
