There she is!

Not so much has gone on since my last blog...tennis results haven't been spectacular by any means and its been a bit of a disappointment.  I made a very short stop in paris - arriving Tuesday lunchtime and departing Thursday morning following a first round loss.

The previous week we reached the semi finals in Cremona, Italy losing to De Voest and Van Der Merwe. We need to find ways to get through those matches because if you don't win those challengers then you're not moving up the rankings as the points are so small.

Before that I spent a week in London training with Kevin Ullyet. Kevin retired from the tour at the end of last year but is based in London for now and so he is going to help me over the grass. I really enjoyed the week and I felt it helped me a lot, gave me some confidence going into the upcoming tournaments. He's very relaxed and positive and likes to keep things simple and I think that's exactly what I need around me. I have been doing things on my own for the past seven months and I feel I now need someone to give me direction and keep me on the right path in my career.

Yesterday I got up to practice from 8-10am before going to play golf at Wentworth with Kevin and two of his friends. I was excited to get the chance to go and play the course especially with all the talk about the new changes that had been made and the fact it was so soon after the tournament - they were still taking down the grandstands. The course was in fantastic condition and I hit the ball really well even though I didn't necessarily score so well.  It would be nice to get out more and practice my short game but I just don't have enough time. I need to find a course to be a member at down in London too...but that's expensive!!

The grass court season is looming and as always it's a great chance to do well and make some headlines. I'm looking forward to getting out there and playing in front of a home crowd again.

Andy is going along well in Roland Garros and he's played some great tennis during the first week. He played a couple of really good matches with David Ferrer in the Masters tournaments in the run up and is looking like his old self again. Here's hoping he can continue the run and go a long way. It will definitely set him up well for the grass season.
