Jamie/Max out of USO

Jamie and Max have gone out of the US Open doubles at the first round stage after a 7-6 (1) 7-6 (8) defeat to Michal Metinak and Lovro Zovko.

Jamie will now turn his attentions to the mixed doubles, where he's through to the second round with Liezel Huber.

They'll next play Kveta Peschke (CZE) and Pavel Vizner (CZE) for a place in the quarter-finals.
