Jamie and Andy today spoke of their excitement following their selection for the GB Team at the Beijing Olympics.

Andy will play in the singles event with other top world players including Roger Federer and Wimbledon champion Rafa Nadal and in the doubles event with Jamie.

Andy said today: "It's a great honour to be selected to represent your country in the biggest sporting event in the world and to have the chance to team up with my brother makes it even more special and memorable.

Jamie added: "I'm really looking forward to being part of the British team for the Olympics and supporting all the other athletes. The tennis event is really strong - both Nadal and Federer are taking part - but Andy and I will be doing our very best to bring back a medal for our country."

Judy Murray, who will be supporting her sons in China, said: "It's great news that both boys have got into the team for Beijing. The Olympics was always something that they watched on TV but now they are going to be part of it and that's going to be an unbelievable experience for them.

"One of Andy's greatest memories is seeing Andre Agassi winning a gold medal in Atlanta in 1996 - and he was only nine years old then."
