All over in Kitzbuhel

This has to be one of the wettest tournaments I've ever experienced on the ATP Tour. Arrived Saturday and it rained all Sunday, all Monday and part of Tuesday. Managed to play our first round match v the South American combo of Bruno Soares and Martin Garcia on Wednesday afternoon and snuck a win 6-7 (7) 7-5 10-6. Kitzbuhel is a tiny ski town in the mountains and so we were playing at altitude which meant the balls were flying and it took a bit of getting used to - especially as it had been almost impossible to practice because of the weather!
The doubles draw was pretty decimated in terms of seeds as the top pair withdrew due to injury before the event started and seeds 3 and 4 went out first round. Next up for us were the second seeds Jurgen Melzer and Robert Lindstedt. Had chances first set with a couple of set points but didnt take them. Messed up the tie break a bit and let my serve slip at the start of the second. And that was that 7-6 (4) 6-3 in 78 minutes!
Heading to Munich tomorrow to catch a flight to Toronto. Hooking up with Andy for the next two tourneys as Max is on Davis Cup duty for Belarus. That will give us some good practice before the Olympics hopefully. And some sunshine too maybe?
Bye guys
