Hey guys!

Got a reasonable amount to report since my last blog!

Me and Jonny Marray won a 125k challenger out in Kazakhstan which was good news. We knew it was a great opportunity for us to make a lot of points and the gamble paid off for us. We played great all week and deserved the title I thought, even if we had to contend with some rain delays at what was an indoor tournament!

What I didn't deserve was the horrific tonsillitis and fever I picked up there!! It really started to kick in on the day off the final. To be honest, I felt awful all day but somehow I felt fine in the match and managed to get through it.

Our trophy was a Camel each, which is good if you collect them! Winning didn't quite make up for the journey home though - it was the worst I have ever felt in my life...period! Because my tonsils were so swollen, unless I was sat totally upright I really struggled to breathe. My airways would block off I tilted my head, so I didn't sleep that night, or on the journey home really. What made it worse was we had a four hour wait at Vienna airport!

Soon as we arrived back on Sunday I knew I had to go and see someone - most importantly to get my hands on some antibiotics. So I ground my way up to a walk-in clinic on Harley Street and saw a doctor who prescribed me the necessary tablets...and off I went to Boots to get them...I won't tell you the price but I would have happily paid triple that just to get myself feeling a bit more comfortable, let alone better!

It's amazing because by Tuesday evening my throat was so much better and my fever had totally gone!

I practiced a little on Thursday, more to get out of the house than anything. Slowly got myself back into the swing of things. It's amazing how bad I can feel after no exercise for 5 days! I hate not doing anything, but sometimes you just have to accept it and get yourself better.

There was no Premiership football on the weekend, which meant no fantasy league, and that meant major disappointment. I was in mourning! All the boys were to be honest; we love it, and it's a great source of banter. You'd be surprised how much time and effort puts into their teams. It's a joke.

Anyway, to top off my poor weekend, my star striker Rob Van Persie got injured badly playing for Holland. If I was annoyed I can't imagine how Arsene Wenger must feel!!

Finally, myself and Andy did a "Murray Experience" for our sponsors RBS down in Chiswick. They brought along some of their clients and employees and we did a clinic with them, which was a lot of fun. They got to an insight into how we train on and off court and then got to try out the exercises we do.

From there I went to practice at Roehampton with James 'Diesel' Davidson before finding myself at Heathrow airport writing you guys this update on what's going on.

I'm playing a challenger in Bratislava this week with Jonny Marray, and we play our first round match tomorrow evening.

Wish us luck!
